How to verify a citizenship by investment agent before paying

Verify who will submit your application through the responsible government authority. Match the legal identity and role, then obtain written scope, charges and payment milestones. Membership badges and directory listings do not replace government authorisation.

1. Check the government register

Use the official authority links below and match the legal entity, contact information and role. Ask the authority to resolve identity or status uncertainty. A similar trading name, screenshot or industry-directory entry is not enough. Recheck before payment because authorisations can change.

2. Identify the submitting agent

Dominica requires an authorised agent to submit the file. Grenada describes an international marketing agent working with a local agent. St Kitts requires agent submission. If you engage an intermediary, ask for the named submitting entity and how your contract connects to it.

3. Obtain a written scope and quote

Ask for the qualifying investment, government charges, professional charges, document costs and refund conditions as separate items. Identify the legal recipient of each payment and confirm the programme’s payment instructions independently. This is an editorial checklist, not a universal statutory fee rule.

4. Check the milestones

Ask what is due before submission, what follows approval and what establishes nationality. Request the applicable production and delivery steps separately. Do not treat a deposit receipt or an approval in principle as evidence that citizenship or a passport has already been issued.

5. Treat promises carefully

Dominica says agents do not decide applications and cannot guarantee approval. Register inclusion alone does not establish good service, investment safety or suitability for your family. Seek independent advice on the engagement and any investment where needed.
