Read official CBI statistics without inventing approval odds

Use the original authority, the period covered and the unit counted. Applications received, decisions made, citizens registered and passports issued cannot be treated as interchangeable measures.

What the Saint Lucia report actually measures

The official annual-report archive includes FY2024/25. Page 19 presents received, granted, denied and total-processed application counts. Our research update reproduces the scoped table from that report with its fiscal period and units. It is not a current live queue or a table of individuals.

A decision ratio is not your probability

A decision this year may concern a file received earlier. Pending cases are unresolved, and family files may cover several people. Dividing grants by receipts from a different cohort produces a misleading personal approval estimate.

A guideline is not an observed delivery distribution

Saint Lucia’s FAQ describes approximately 90 days from accepted processing to grant and acknowledges delays. Practitioner surveys describe their samples of completed cases; neither basis establishes your future time to a delivered passport.

Keep reporting and review dates visible

Grenada’s retained table covers Q1 2026; Saint Lucia’s table covers FY2024/25. A source checked in October does not turn either reporting period into October activity. Compare like periods and units before discussing a trend.

São Tomé: a reporting promise is not the first-year report

The state news agency’s 21 October 2025 account records the prime minister’s commitment to publish periodic application counts, allocated amounts, fund balance and sector use. That statement does not authenticate the September 2026 first-year figures. Ask for the original issued report, reporting period and units before relying on a claimed approval rate or passport-delivery record.
