# Privacy

You can use the comparison without an account or Google Analytics. Analytics stays off until you allow it through the footer’s preferences.

## Browser preferences and comparison choices

Your light, dark or automatic appearance preference is saved in this browser. Search and selected programmes can be included in a shareable URL. Sharing that link shares those choices. Analytics consent is stored locally with a 180-day validity period. Storage failure does not prevent browsing.

## Google Analytics

When allowed, Google Analytics uses cookies and collects canonical page paths, programme/action identifiers, browser/device information and approximate region. CBI.me does not send search text, comparison URL parameters or calculator inputs. Advertising storage, Google Signals and personalisation are disabled.

You can decline or withdraw consent from any footer. Global Privacy Control keeps analytics off. Cloudflare and hosting providers can process operational access/security information as part of serving the site.

## Optional research workspace

The separate workspace at cbi-research.measurable.workers.dev saves canonical guide links, checklist status, passkey public keys, random account/session identifiers and assistant connection records in Cloudflare storage. Private passkey keys stay with your authenticator. Searches there are sent to the research service; it does not load Google Analytics. Public comparisons still need no account.

Use a synced or additional passkey: email/password recovery is not offered. Each assistant needs your explicit approval and scoped permissions. OAuth access lasts 15 minutes; claimed agent credentials last seven days. Export, access revocation and permanent deletion are available in the workspace. Deletion removes active records and access; encrypted provider backups may remain temporarily under provider retention. No documents, financial details or free-text case notes are supported. Operational network information limits abuse; private content and query strings are excluded from application logs.

## Correction reports

The optional correction form stores the CBI.me page, evidence URL, disputed claim and proposed correction privately in Cloudflare storage for up to 90 days. It does not request contact or application details. Please send only public programme facts. Network addresses are used transiently for abuse prevention and are not included in the saved report. Reports are not published automatically and no response deadline is promised.
