# CBI privacy and disclosure: what Saint Lucia’s law requires

An application’s handling policy does not promise anonymity after citizenship. Saint Lucia’s annual-report law requires specified identifying information about successful applicants and included dependants; this duty alone does not establish how every current report is published or searched.

## The statutory annual-report channel

Section 24 of the published 2023 revised Act requires the Board to send an annual report to the Minister within three months after the financial year ends; the Minister then has three months after submission to lay it in Parliament. Required contents include names, addresses and nationalities of successful applicants and included qualifying dependants, plus investment amounts/details. Unsuccessful applicants’ names must be excluded.

## Read the revised edition with later amendments

The legislation index reviewed on 25 October 2026 lists Act 22 of 10 November 2025 and regulations 57 of 23 March 2026 as its latest amendments. The full Act 22 text does not replace section 24; S.I. 57 amends the regulations rather than repealing that Act duty. The revised edition’s 2023 label is therefore relevant to the source chain, not evidence that the reporting obligation has disappeared.

## Duty, publication and searchability

A statutory duty to report and table information is different from evidence of actual release, redaction, indexing or online searchability. This review does not establish that every applicant’s information is publicly accessible, or that every current annual report follows one publication format. It also cannot support a promise of anonymity. No applicant identities are reproduced here.

## Before sharing documents or committing funds

Ask the Unit and your advisers which data is collected, who receives it for screening, what law requires reporting, which reports are currently released, and what access or correction process exists. Assess the rules for your actual route and household; do not assume the Saint Lucia example describes every country. Keep case documents with authorised parties rather than posting them to a public research tool.

Section 24 requires annual reports to the Minister and tabling in Parliament, including identifying details of successful applicants and included dependants, and investment details. Unsuccessful applicants’ names are excluded. Act 22/2025 does not replace section 24; S.I. 57/2026 amends regulations, not this reporting duty. Actual publication and searchability are separate questions.
